STATE WINNERS OF FFA WEEK OBSERVANCE AWARD RECOGNIZED AT THE 98th GEORGIA FFA STATE CONVENTION

MACON, Ga. – Winners of the National FFA Week Observance Awards were recognized at the 98th Georgia FFA State Convention held at the Macon Centreplex on April 22-25, 2026.

South Effingham placed first, followed by Cherokee County and Hahira Middle finishing second and third respectively.

The FFA Week Observance Awards recognizes chapters that prepared a report detailing the activities they engaged in during National FFA Week. These reports included pictures, newspaper articles and other materials to showcase their chapter’s outstanding participation. 

The FFA Week Observance Awards was sponsored by Georgia’s Rural Center.

The state runner-up FFA Week Observance Award winner received a plaque and a $250 cash award. The state winner of the National FFA Week Observance Award received $500, and their local advisor also reviewed $100 for their accomplishment. 

There are over 1 Million FFA members nationwide. The Georgia Association has more than 80,000 members, making it the third largest association in the nation. The FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success, through agricultural education.
