MACON, Ga. – Recipients of the Washington Leadership Conference (WLC) Scholarship were recognized at the 98th State FFA Convention held at the Macon Centreplex on April 22-24, 2026.
At the Washington Leadership Conference, FFA members from across the United States meet in the Capitol to put leadership into action. While at the conference, members learn to value people, take action, and serve others while participating in leadership activities and community service. The WLC Scholarships presented at the convention will pay for Georgia FFA members to attend the conference this summer.
The 2026 Terry and Cindy England WLC Scholarship was awarded to Clay Lawrence of ECI. Representative England is a past Georgia FFA Alumni Association President and past member of the National FFA Alumni Association Board of Directors.
The 2026 Mort Ewing WLC Scholarship was awarded to Maggie Moon of Madison County. Mr. Ewing sponsors this scholarship annually in honor of his service as the Georgia State Farm Bureau President.
The 2026 Gwen Corzine WLC Scholarships were awarded to Ryan Bertram of Mary Persons and Molly Wall of Screven County. The parents of Central Region Agricultural Education Director, Chris Corzine, award these scholarships to FFA members from Areas 3 and 4.
The 2026 Warren Wilkinson Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Jordan Elrod of Stephens County. State Senator and retired Agricultural Education Program Manager, John Wilkinson, sponsors this scholarship in memory of his father, Mr. Warren Wilkinson, a former FFA member, agricultural education teacher, principal and county school superintendent. He was a passionate supporter of the FFA program and was awarded both the Honorary State and American FFA Degrees.

Blank Family Foundation Scholarships were MacKenzie Sapp of Early County, Kendahl Price of Early County, Eli Kewman of Jackson-Empower, Braxton Galimore of Jasper County, Bella Grace Hambrick of Madison County, Carter Johnson of Mary Persons, Kinlee Raiford of Wheeler County, Braxton Lucas of Echols County, Sophie Drummond of Central of Carroll, Bethany Asbury of Jenkins County, Isabella Sailor of Perry, Zachary Jones of Rutland, Elizabeth Traugh of Northside, Jadyn Dobbs of Dade County, Lily Dockery of Houston County, Atticus Anderson of Dade County and Violet Bolme of Valdosta.
The 2026 Dot Foods WLC Scholarships were awarded to Case Conner and Kayleigh Montford of Toombs County, and Macy Mosley and Kaylee Batten of Montgomery County.
The 2026 Matthew Darby Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Brady Nease of South Effingham.
The recipients of the 2026 Central Region Rally Scholarships are David Gibson of Troup County and Sarah Bennett of Southeast Bullock.
The 2026 Franklin Lee Scholarship was awarded to Chloe Weaver of Lee County.
The 2026 Hart Family Scholarship was awarded to Taliah Smoot of Madison County.
The 2026 Georgia Federal State Inspection Service Supervisors Scholarship was awarded to Molly Dell of Colquitt County and Shawn Jones of Tift County.
The 2026 Newton County Farm Bureau Scholarship was awarded to Katie Parr of Eastside.
The 2026 Reid & Reid Scholarships were awarded to Keifer Pankey of Dawson County, Kallie Reynolds of Creekview, and Kate Hinger of Clarke Central.
The 2026 Georgia FFA Foundation WLC Scholarships were awarded to Brock Booth of Jefferson City, Sam Chesser of Pierce County, Bryson Davis of Arabia Mountain, Mallory Lee of Madison County, Bralyn Parker of Baker County, and William Pope of Adairsville.
The National FFA Organization, formerly known as the Future Farmers of America, changed its name in 1988 to reflect the growth and diversity of agriculture.
