RECIPIENTS OF THE POST SECONDARY SCHOLARSHIPS RECOGNIZED AT THE 98th GEORGIA FFA STATE CONVENTION

MACON, Ga. – Recipients of the Post Secondary Scholarships were recognized at the 98th State FFA Convention held at the Macon Centreplex on April 23-25, 2025. 

Georgia FFA focuses on developing technical and leadership skills that will prepare students for whatever career field they plan to enter into after high school. Many students plan to go on to obtain degrees at post-secondary institutions. The post secondary scholarships awarded at convention will aid these students in their educational endeavors working towards their future careers. 

The 2026 Georgia Ford Dealers Scholarships were awarded to Skye Blitch of Northside, Max Burnham of Clarke Central, TyRique Butler of Burke County, Madylne Cruz-Hernandez of Rome, Brittany Harris of Effingham College & Career Academy, Josie Herren of Berrien County, Peyton Hicks of Rabun County, Caroline Howell of Colquitt County, Renea Hutto-Hernandez of Lanier County, Madeline Glaze of Walnut Grove, Isabelle Johnson of Morgan County, Ryan Kelly of Crisp County, Cole Kopcsak of North Murray, Elizabeth Ledford of Jackson Empower, Kate Anna Newman of Southeast Bulloch, John Oliver of Gilmer County, Kevin Ray of Bainbridge, Sadie Beth Sell of Screven County, Harley Walker of Colquitt County, and Kory West of Rutland.

The 2026 Growing America’s Farmers Scholarships were awarded to Robert Breen of Pickens County, Callie Bridges of Oglethorpe County, Landon Cobb of Fullington Academy, Alessandra Gamiz-Perez of Cedar Shoals, Madelyn Garrett of Habersham Central, Adalynn Puckett of Crawford County, Gene Reeves of Irwin County, Joy Sanders of Warner Robins, and AJ Short of Mitchell County. 

The 2026 recipient of the William and Marihope Troutman Flatt Scholarship is James Wise of Tift County.

The 2026 recipient of the Tyler Hortman Parker Memorial Scholarship is Madison Manning of Taylor County. 

The 2026 recipient of the Dr. Frank B. Flanders Swainsboro is Brittany Waters of Swainsboro.

The 2026 recipient of the Claxton Poultry Scholarship is Rachel Paige Wilkie of Claxton.

The National FFA Organization, formerly known as the Future Farmers of America, changed its name in 1988 to reflect the growth and diversity of agriculture. There are over 1 Million FFA members nationwide. The Georgia Association has more than 80,000 members, making it the third largest Association in the nation.  The FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success, through agricultural education.
