Edge-grain butcher blocks are constructed using wood strips that run the full length of the block, providing a look of clean continuity. These particular counter tops are 1-1/2 inches thick, 48 inches wide, 60 inches long, and finished with Varnique - a varnish-like semi-gloss finish which should not be cut upon.
