A Way With Words: An Experience Sobering: Poems & Diction That Shed Light On Addiction

The battles we face in day to day life in the simplicity of living can be misinterpreted and lost in translation from the wrong message obtained from searching in the bottle or whatever poison that may offer temporary distraction from fear of growing up, changing for the better, and developing addiction as a result. This is a little of my story told through poems and affirmation written expressing my experience of running to substances then eventually succumbing to the disease called addiction. I illustrate the euphoric self destruction of "losing yourself" from overthinking & overdoing in the placeholder of drug abuse and provide hope for the light of those struggling with self discovery and being a master at getting in your own way.
